New patients are scheduled for an initial interview with the doctor to discuss your dental and medical history and your present dental problems and concerns. A thorough oral examination, including all necessary diagnostic aids, will be completed at this visit. One of our first concerns is whether your mouth has active disease (such as periodontal or gum disease). We also take care of any emergency problems immediately. Depending upon your individual needs, a dental prophylaxis (cleaning) may be done at this time. A consultation with the doctor to discuss prescribed treatment will follow. Please plan to spend about an hour with us on your initial appointment.
